Care & Maintenance Instructions for Solmar Stone Panels

All our panels come with a thin protective plastic film that must be removed upon installation. Beneath this film, there is a protective coating designed to safeguard the image from minor scratches and limited UV exposure. This coating, which gives the panels a glossy surface, is non-porous, waterproof, and resistant to stains, mold, mildew, hard water deposits, and soap scum. This ensures a low-maintenance tub or shower wall. Scratching or scuffing the coating can reduce its gloss and weaken its resistance to stains and mold.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular Cleaning: Use a soft cloth or sponge with mild detergent or soap. A weak water and vinegar mixture is also safe for cleaning.

Avoid abrasive cleaners such as Soft Scrub, Ajax, Bartender’s Keeper, etc., as they can dull the finish and make the panels vulnerable to stains, mold, and soap scum.

Do not use harsh chemicals like ammonia, bleach, nail polish remover, paint remover, dyes, or solvents.

Avoid cleaning with hard or sharp objects, as they can cause permanent damage to the panels.

Important Usage Notes

Indoor Use Only: Solmar Stone panels are not intended for outdoor exposure to sunlight.

Avoid Heat Sources: Do not expose the panels to high-temperature water, sauna outlets, cigarettes, open flames, or extreme heat sources.
